DuCo partners with APL

We are pleased to announce a new supply agreement with APL Window Solutions. This means we will have a wider range of window and door products available, from another Waikato-based brand.

Our First Windows & Doors manufacturing plant will be fully operational by April 2024 and our team will be thoroughly trained in the new processes. We are taking steps to mitigate any effect on our existing production line and expect manufacturing and deliveries to proceed as normal throughout the changeover period. We’re excited to share the new product range with you!

So why the change? We’ve explained our key motivations for this below.

As a proud family business also based in the Waikato region, DuCo is excited to join forces and support the Cambridge-based APL brand. Since 1971, APL has been operating out of Cambridge, investing time and resources into local education, sports, sustainability, and development initiatives.

As a First Windows & Doors fabricator, DuCo will now have access to new products like ThermalHEART®, Centrafix™, and Klima® uPVC. These innovative products enable us to continue to support our construction partners and homeowners as they search for optimal performance and compliance with new H1 regulations.

ThermalHEART®

ThermalHEART® is a range of windows and doors, featuring thermal technology. The range meets the New Zealand Building Code and is designed to double the thermal performance of standard aluminium joinery.

Centrafix™

The Centrafix™ installation method involves recessing the joinery into the building wall and aligning the insulation elements to prevent cold air from circulating the frame. This increases the thermal performance in your home by over 20%².

KLIMA® uPVC 

Based on a premium series from Europe and optimised for New Zealand conditions, Klima® is the ultimate performer when keeping out the winter cold. Klima® windows and doors are made of highly durable uPVC, can withstand the harshest sunlight, offer increased thermal efficiency, and offer good noise reduction.
